The Dust Settles – Thirty Poems in Thirty Days #28

If you’d like to read more of my work, check out my poetry ebook here on amazon.

The Dust Settles

The dust settles
Slowly in the moon beams
Piercing the cloudy window

She reaches out her hand
I take it and fall
Catching the glint of twilight on her smile

There is warmth
Comfort and acceptance
But I am not here for that

There is lust
Hunger and thirst
Tonight it will be satiated

Until the next
