Raindrops – Thirty Poems in Thirty Days # 20

I’m doing a month of poetry, one new poem each day for thirty days. Here’s number twenty of thirty.

Raindrops

They hurtle downward
In each one
Spins a reflection
Of the entire universe

Like a mirror
Held up to all of existence
A glimmering beacon
Of sustained perfection

They all collide
Shatter into uncountable bits
And pieces strewn about
Like callously forgotten heartaches
That are never truly forgotten
