The New Project – Daily Log Days 18, 19, and 20

Hi everybody! I apologize for the absence. I’ve gotten rather busy, but that isn’t really an excuse. Regardless, I was inspired yesterday, and I decided I’m going to get back to beatboxing. For those of you who don’t know, I’m a very good beatboxer, but now I want to improve my craft. My next step is to order a studio mic and get some mixing software so I can record myself and play around with the sound a little bit. My goal is to have my first solo beatbox composition up on this blog by the end of December, so get excited for that 🙂 Also, I decided so play some more poker, couldn’t wait until my refund check came. So, my running bankroll total will be added. As far as today’s thought, I wanted to talk a little bit about harnessing inspiration.

Thought of the Day

Harnessing inspiration is more difficult than most think. Sometimes we see a movie, read a book, or have a conversation that invigorates to do something. We get in a fervor, but that inspiration soon fades. We don’t internalize it and use it to start the momentum toward accomplishing something. They key is to actually take action. Next time you feel inspired, embrace the feeling. If you find yourself not taking action on your desires, ask yourself why. Is there a reason you aren’t acting on your desire, your inspiration? I’m willing to bet that there probably isn’t. The trouble with a lot of people is that they stick to things that get really caught up in the real world. Take some advice from John Mayer and realize that there really is no such thing as the real world. It will really do a world of good.
