The Dust Settles

The dust settles
Slowly in the moon beams
Piercing the cloudy window

She reaches out her hand
I take it and fall
Catching the glint of twilight on her smile

There is warmth
Comfort and acceptance
But I am not here for that

There is lust
Hunger and thirst
Tonight it will be satiated

Until the next
